Prof. Dr. Valentina Emilia Balas (Romania)

Valentina E. Balas is currently Full Professor in the Department of Automatics and Applied Software at the Faculty of Engineering, “Aurel Vlaicu” University of Arad, Romania.
She holds a Ph.D. in Applied Electronics and Telecommunications from Polytechnic University of Timisoara. Dr. Balas is author of more than 270 research papers in refereed journals and International Conferences. Her research interests are in Intelligent Systems, Fuzzy Control, Soft Computing, Smart Sensors, Information Fusion, Modeling and Simulation.
She is the Editor-in Chief to International Journal of Advanced Intelligence Paradigms (IJAIP) and to  International  Journal of Computational Systems Engineering (IJCSysE), member in Editorial Board member of several national and international journals and is evaluator expert for national, international projects and PhD Thesis. Dr. Balas is the director of Intelligent Systems Research Centre in Aurel Vlaicu University of Arad and Director of the Department of International Relations, Programs and Projects in the same university.
She served as General Chair of the International Workshop Soft Computing and Applications (SOFA) in eight editions 2005-2018 held in Romania and Hungary.
Dr. Balas participated in many international conferences as Organizer, Honorary Chair, Session Chair and member in Steering, Advisory or International Program Committees.
She is a member of EUSFLAT, SIAM and a Senior Member IEEE, member in TC – Fuzzy Systems (IEEE CIS), member in TC – Emergent Technologies (IEEE CIS), member in TC – Soft Computing (IEEE SMCS).
Dr. Balas was past Vice-president (Awards) of IFSA International Fuzzy Systems Association Council (2013-2015) and is a Joint Secretary of the Governing Council of Forum for Interdisciplinary Mathematics (FIM), – A Multidisciplinary Academic Body, India.

Dr. Said M. El-Sheikh (Egypt)

Dr. Said M. El.-Sheikh was graduated and awarded his Ph.D. from the department of chemistry, Cairo University/Egypt. Dr. El-Sheikh is currently the Prof. of the Nanomaterials and Nanotechnology Division. His research interests include preparation, Characterization and application of nanomaterials in general and specifically in nano-catalysis, sensing and energy. Dr. El-Sheikh is interested a) wastewater treatment using conventional and advanced technologies b) degradation of harmful algae and cyanotoxins c) nano-ceramic materials for reinforcement and surface coating d) conversion of CO2 to renewable fuel e) Conversion of waste materials to valuable nanomaterials products f) fabrication of sensing materials for water and medicine application g) recycling and environmental pollution control.  Dr. El-Sheikh is the author or co-author of more than 134 papers in international journals and more than 60 presentations in national and international conferences. He has eighteen years of information technology experience.  He has supervised more than 38 master and Ph.D. thesis students. Moreover, he is a referee for several international journals, conferences and projects. Dr. El-Sheikh is the principal investigator (PI) of three research projects, including the current U.S. Egypt joint project.  He has also served as co-PI and member on more than 20 projects funded from different local and international funding agencies.

Dr. Sheta M. Sheta (Egypt)

Dr. Sheta. M. Sheta obtained his B.Sc. and Master’s degrees in Applied Chemistry from Helwan University, Egypt in 2004 and 2010, respectively. He obtained his Ph.D. in Inorganic-Analytical Chemistry fromAin Shams University,Egypt in 2015. He joined the National Research Centre, Egypt in 2013. His research interests include preparation, characterization and application of metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), complexes, nanomaterials in general and specifically in sensors, biosensors, medical laboratories, innovation and devolvement of analytical techniques and methodologies for tumor markers, drugs and hormones determinations, biological activities studies. In addition to nano-catalysis and nano-ceramic materials. Also, Dr. Sheta is interested in nanostructured mesoporous materials and transition metal nanowires and particles, treatment of wastewater with conventional and advanced technologies, advanced oxidation technologies, nano-ceramic materials for advanced application such as surface coating, reinforcement and conversion of CO2 to renewable fuel. In addition, he has experience in waste treatment / recycling and environmental pollution control, removal of bacteria and algae from fresh and marine, etc.He organized and coordinated many internal and international events. He is speaker in many international conferences and symposium. He serves as an Editorial board member and reviewer of many reputed international Journals.

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Zubair Iqbal (China)

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Zubair Iqbal is currently a Professor of Materials Science and Engineering at Zhejiang Sci-Tech University, China and Ningbo Institute of Materials Technology & Engineering (NIMTE), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). He is also a Vice Director of Zhejiang-Mauritius Joint Research Center for Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering. He received his Ph.D. degree with honors on Experimental Condensed Matter Physics from University of Science and Technology Beijing, China, 2013. His research interests involve the fabrication of bio-nanomaterials for Magnetic Resonance Imaging, drug delivery and Cancer Therapeutic Applications. He has published more than 100 research articles in reputed international journals, few innovation patents, obtained many national and international competitive research awards/grants, reviewer of many journals and participated in many international conferences as an invited and keynote speaker.

Dr. Qasim Sandhu (China)

Dr. Qasim Sandhu did Bachelors in Science from University of Gujrat in 2009, and later got the Masters in Physics from the same university in 2011. Then, the author got his PhD degree in Microelectronics and Solid State Electronics from Dalian University of Technology, Dalian. His research areas encompasses CVD and MOCVD synthesis, electronics, wide band gap semiconductors, dielectric materials, thin film growth etc. Currently, he is serving as Assistant Professor in Department of Intelligent Manufacturing, Yibin University, Yibin.
